Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026. This policy describes what MapsBoost collects, why, who processes it, and your rights. Contact: hello@mapsboost.cc.
1. Data we collect
Account data: name, email, password (stored hashed — we cannot read it), plan, credit balance and usage counters, billing-cycle dates, onboarding answers (business type, location count, goals, country, city), and Stripe/Lemon Squeezy customer and subscription identifiers.
Business data you provide: business names, Google Maps links, website URLs, categories, phone numbers, addresses, and descriptions for the profiles you monitor.
Audit and content data: audit inputs and per-check results, cached public listing snapshots and fetch history, and the AI content you generate.
Contact and email data: contact-form submissions (name, email, subject, message, spam score) and our email send log.
Technical data: session and security cookies, language preference, and standard server logs. Anonymous audit previews store nothing.
2. Why we collect it
To operate accounts and subscriptions; to run audits and generate content; to enforce plan limits; to send transactional mail (verification, billing, expiry warnings) and reply to inquiries; to prevent abuse and spam (rate limits, reCAPTCHA scores on the contact form).
3. Who processes your data
Stripe and Lemon Squeezy (payments — card data goes to them, never to us). OpenAI and/or Anthropic (AI generation — the business details you ask content for are sent in the prompt). Outscraper/Apify or equivalent (fetching the public Google listing URLs you submit). Our email provider (transactional mail). Google reCAPTCHA (spam scoring on the contact form). We do not sell personal data and run no third-party ad trackers — only essential session and security cookies.
4. Public share links
Audit reports you share via link are accessible to anyone holding the link. Only share links you intend to be public.
5. Retention
Active account data is kept while your account exists. AI credit and audit counters reset each billing cycle. Cached listing snapshots keep recent history for trend views. Contact submissions and email logs are kept for support records. Billing records are retained as required by tax and payment law.
6. Your rights
Access and correction: edit your account, profiles, and content anytime in the app. Deletion: deleting your account in settings permanently removes your profiles, audits, and generated content; billing records required by law are retained. To request export or deletion of anything else (e.g., a contact submission), email hello@mapsboost.cc and we respond within 30 days.
7. Security
Passwords are hashed, API secrets encrypted, payment webhooks signature-verified, and admin tools restricted to authorized staff. No system is impenetrable — report suspected issues to hello@mapsboost.cc.
8. Children
MapsBoost is for business use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a new date; continued use means acceptance. For significant changes affecting your rights, we will also email account holders.
